This is my first blog. Clayton started doing this and I thought "Hey, I want to do that too!" so he added me to his blog. So I guess now it is our family blog.
Like Clayton said, we are so excited for our house. It will be great to own our own home. I don't think it can happen soon enough.
Well, school for me is about to start again ( I teach 2nd grade). It seems like I didn't even get a break but I really enjoy teaching in a year round school. I have meetings all this week and then I will start with new kids on the 25th. I am looking forward to a good year. Last year I had a few students that made the year very difficult. They were great individually, but when you put their personalities together, it was like an explosion in my room. I lost a lot of sanity last year. So I am ready to start again with a new group.
Speaking of school, I guess I should start getting used to going to sleep earlier at night. So with that said, Good night.

Our New House!!
That's right, we are buying a home and are very excited about it. It's brand new (as in being built) - we will be in by Sept.
It is a twin home, so we share a wall with someone. The houses are slightly shifted so not the complete wall and on part of the shared wall is a closet and the garage. However it has a private back yard. Fully fenced as well, which is not a given in Utah. It does have 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. Also a family room and a "great" room. We love it.
The nice thing is we are staying in our current ward. We do love this ward. Also it is on a court so no traffic. That will be really nice. The people who share the twin home with us are retired and the brother of the builder. Good connection to have. When looking at the picture below we are the home on the right.

I hate not being able to sleep!
It's Friday Morning (6:14 am) - I have been up for at least an hour it seems and I can't sleep. So, I decided I might as well check my email and stuff. Don't you just hate it when you can't sleep. I do!
Well, I figure I would talk about our CA trip we did last weekend. Lisa finished school on Friday - yeah! - so we went to CA for the weekend. (Ashley had left on Thursday).
We flew into CA Friday night and rented a car, first time to rent a car. We were able to get a PT Cruiser - with only 200 miles on it. I have never liked these cars, thought they were kind of "trendy" - well now I totally don't like them. The back hatch doesn't have a latch, it's either locked or closed by a magnet, hate it. Also the seats are really nice and have you sit higher, but the window is really low so you almost are looking out of the visor. If I was any higher/taller it wouldn't have worked I think. It handles nice, but the turn radius isn't that good, neither was the gas milage. Oh, well - It was still really nice to have a car to get arround in, but not have to drive from UT.
On Saturday - we went to Marine World - my Dad, Stepmom, Brother Devin & Nick - came - also Melissa and her fam, Helen and hers, and Ashley and his (along with Goya and Mom-In-Law). Oh, we stayed at Helen's house. We mainly walked arround with Helen and her fam. It was fun, saw the animals and rode on some of the rides. It was a good time. Afterwards we all went to dinner at Denny's (well Dad and his group didn't). I love eating breakfast foods.
Sunday - Ashley and his family went to Great America, Lisa and I meet him there. That was fun, went on a bunch of rides, plus Goya got us Free Tickets so that was really nice. So for both parks we only paid $46 total for the two of us. (plus parking, I can't believe the charge so much for that).
Went to San Francisco on Monday, went to Pier 39 - so the Sea Lions there, there were only 3 total, gone for the summer I guess. Walked the warf, and then to the Cable Car Museum. It's amazing how steep some of the hills/roads are in San Fran. The Museum was interesting, it was cool to see how the cable cars worked. We ate in Chinatown and returned home.
Then we returned to Utah on Tuesday - before returning home we visited Helen's Scrapbook store. They was cool - it's a nice store.
That night went to one of Lisa's aunts for dinner and then to the city of Holladay's fire work show. It was really good, at least an half an hour of fire works. They were awesome!!
Work has been hectic - we have shipped 6 computers so far this week. - and have 4 on the shelves right now to finish. It's great to be so busy, but hectic. I'm glad it Friday - going to the movies tonight too. That will be nice.
Well, have a great weekend!!
