You really can find anything at Wal-Mart!

Lisa and I are trying to avoid having two shopping carts while shopping, but it's hard when you find things to put in the cart that you just can't pass up:

We only did this once. Thought we'd carry him the whole time, but he fell asleep and with my sweather and his blanket we found the perfect bed for him while we shopped. This did give us a lot more cart space.

Christ Was Love

My sister-in-law sent Christmas letters with a story that I wanted to share:

During a school Christmas pageant, not to many years ago, a mother sat listening to joyful songs of the Holidays. There were songs about Santa, snowmen and reindeer; but there was no mention of Jesus or the true meaning of Christmas. Almost near the end of the pageant, one of the youngest classes got up to sing their song entitled "Christmas Love." The title caught the mother's attention. As the class sang, children held up letters to spell out the title of the song. "C is for Christmas", they sang. "H is for Holly" and so on. But then it happened. The girl holding the "M" inadvertently held it upside down. The audience laughed. She didn't seem to notice, but instead held her letter up high and proud. It was not until the end, when all the cards were held up that the audience was finally silent. They seemed to notice it all at once. Instead of spelling out "Christmas Love" as the song was titled. With the "M" upside down the cards now read "Christ Was Love."

I have been so busy with having a new baby, school, work, and church lately that I have forgotten to focus on the true meaning of Christmas. I was grateful for a reminder of the love Christ has for us. Thanks Starr and Robb for helping me to keep focused on what really matters.

I hope everyone enjoys this wonderful holiday season.

Red Hair

So little Benjamin is now 3 months old. It's crazy how much he has grown in such a short amount of time. It's also weird to think it's already been 3 months.

Oh, and yes he does have red hair.

It's funny how the first thing someone will say when they see him is "He has red hair!" - often as a question. We are not sure where he gets it. Lisa and I both have uncles on our mothers sides that have red hair so that is our guess of where it comes from. We love it though and just hope it stays. My mom, herself had red hair for the first year of her life but then it changed and was never red again.
