Time - Where does it go?

It's strange how many things can change it time. I was up at my in-laws last week and reading the Oct. 2006 New Era and inside this a photo and little article about the Young Women of the Wilton Ward in Elk Grove CA. That's my home ward! - I grew up there and attended up until my mission. It's weird though, I recognized a few of the girls, mainly just last name as I know the family. However I actually don't know any of them well. Time changes things.

It's still cool to see your home town and people you know in the magazine, makes me feel a little important/special.

Well that' s all for now - smile.

Our New House!!

We got internet today!! And also a home phone (first time since we are got married, we were just using our cell phones) - plus Lisa changed her email. Let us know if you need either.

However here are some pictures of our new home: This is are kitchen. Cute huh?

Next to the kitchen is the dining room with the door to our backyard. That's Lisa! Then it's our family room. That's my father-in-law hanging our blinds.

In order to get to the dining room you go through the front room. We don't have much furniture for it yet - smile

Then up the stairs into a hall where the laundry closet is and 3 bedrooms off of it.

One being our bedroom.

That's our closet through the doorways, with a bath between the two. So that's a little tour of our house. If you're ever in the neighborhood let me know and you can have a better one.

Without internet it's a lot hard to post on here!

Well we have moved in and life has been busy. It seems that if I have free time I am doing something on the house - cleaning/unpacking. We bought shelves for the garage and I've installed a light in our pantry. We still need to put the yard in, but that's a bigger project. The sprinkler parts will be delivered on Tuesday - so hopefully by next Saturday.

We also get Internet in our house on Tuesday - right now I am borrowing a neighbors wireless connection until then.

Things at work have been busy too - things are going well. It's definitely a better month than July or Aug were. We've started six unique website to put all our products on. This helps with the clutter on the sites.

They are - GuyGraphics.com - which is back to how it was, just video and audio production

DigitalPhotographyStuff.com - has just that. Digital Cameras, Scanners and more

TonsOfCables.com - which has all our cables - over 1000

StableNLE.com - we are using this to have all our computer parts; motherboards, CPUs and more.

BuyGPSSystems - everything GPS

WildJungleMonkey.com - everything else - tents, leathermans, maglites and even blenders and waffle makers.

Crazy that we sell that much. We hope to eventually have different teams that just work on each site. Until then me and Ashley are very busy. We have put up help wanted ads, but people want to work evenings or weekends - which is fine if we just have them do minor things for us, but we really want someone that can become part of us in the future. It will happen.

So - with moving and all that life is busy. Lisa is back teaching, luckily she was off when we moved. It's nice to have the little breaks every 9 weeks.

Well that's us for now, hopefully it won't take another month before I post again - smile!

My first Blog

This is my first blog. Clayton started doing this and I thought "Hey, I want to do that too!" so he added me to his blog. So I guess now it is our family blog.
Like Clayton said, we are so excited for our house. It will be great to own our own home. I don't think it can happen soon enough.
Well, school for me is about to start again ( I teach 2nd grade). It seems like I didn't even get a break but I really enjoy teaching in a year round school. I have meetings all this week and then I will start with new kids on the 25th. I am looking forward to a good year. Last year I had a few students that made the year very difficult. They were great individually, but when you put their personalities together, it was like an explosion in my room. I lost a lot of sanity last year. So I am ready to start again with a new group.
Speaking of school, I guess I should start getting used to going to sleep earlier at night. So with that said, Good night.

Our New House!!

That's right, we are buying a home and are very excited about it. It's brand new (as in being built) - we will be in by Sept.

It is a twin home, so we share a wall with someone. The houses are slightly shifted so not the complete wall and on part of the shared wall is a closet and the garage. However it has a private back yard. Fully fenced as well, which is not a given in Utah. It does have 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. Also a family room and a "great" room. We love it.

The nice thing is we are staying in our current ward. We do love this ward. Also it is on a court so no traffic. That will be really nice. The people who share the twin home with us are retired and the brother of the builder. Good connection to have. When looking at the picture below we are the home on the right.

I hate not being able to sleep!

It's Friday Morning (6:14 am) - I have been up for at least an hour it seems and I can't sleep. So, I decided I might as well check my email and stuff. Don't you just hate it when you can't sleep. I do!

Well, I figure I would talk about our CA trip we did last weekend. Lisa finished school on Friday - yeah! - so we went to CA for the weekend. (Ashley had left on Thursday).

We flew into CA Friday night and rented a car, first time to rent a car. We were able to get a PT Cruiser - with only 200 miles on it. I have never liked these cars, thought they were kind of "trendy" - well now I totally don't like them. The back hatch doesn't have a latch, it's either locked or closed by a magnet, hate it. Also the seats are really nice and have you sit higher, but the window is really low so you almost are looking out of the visor. If I was any higher/taller it wouldn't have worked I think. It handles nice, but the turn radius isn't that good, neither was the gas milage. Oh, well - It was still really nice to have a car to get arround in, but not have to drive from UT.

On Saturday - we went to Marine World - my Dad, Stepmom, Brother Devin & Nick - came - also Melissa and her fam, Helen and hers, and Ashley and his (along with Goya and Mom-In-Law). Oh, we stayed at Helen's house. We mainly walked arround with Helen and her fam. It was fun, saw the animals and rode on some of the rides. It was a good time. Afterwards we all went to dinner at Denny's (well Dad and his group didn't). I love eating breakfast foods.

Sunday - Ashley and his family went to Great America, Lisa and I meet him there. That was fun, went on a bunch of rides, plus Goya got us Free Tickets so that was really nice. So for both parks we only paid $46 total for the two of us. (plus parking, I can't believe the charge so much for that).

Went to San Francisco on Monday, went to Pier 39 - so the Sea Lions there, there were only 3 total, gone for the summer I guess. Walked the warf, and then to the Cable Car Museum. It's amazing how steep some of the hills/roads are in San Fran. The Museum was interesting, it was cool to see how the cable cars worked. We ate in Chinatown and returned home.

Then we returned to Utah on Tuesday - before returning home we visited Helen's Scrapbook store. They was cool - it's a nice store.

That night went to one of Lisa's aunts for dinner and then to the city of Holladay's fire work show. It was really good, at least an half an hour of fire works. They were awesome!!

Work has been hectic - we have shipped 6 computers so far this week. - and have 4 on the shelves right now to finish. It's great to be so busy, but hectic. I'm glad it Friday - going to the movies tonight too. That will be nice.

Well, have a great weekend!!

Monday Night and All Is Well

It's Monday Night - it's been a good night.

Lisa is finishing report cards. She needs to get them all complete by tomorrow. It's her last week of school, but being year round it doesn't make much different. She finishes on Friday and then just two weeks later she starts next year.

I on the other hand have not done much of anything. Been sitting on my computer looking at houses. It would be so nice to be a home owner.

I am watching "Bed Knobs and Broomsticks" - it's a weird movie, not as good as I remember it to be.

So - things at work have been very busy. We have been selling a lot more computers compared to earlier months. It's great.

I hate being sick!

This last week, my brother get sick from his kids. I thought it had passed me, we ussually don't make each other sick. But I guess my system was weak, so babysitting his kids on Friday didn't help. I woke up Saturday morning not feeling that well.
We planned on going on a bike ride and I didn't want to let him down so I went. I felt better as I biked - well at least at the begining. After about 6 miles, we stopped for a little break, and I decided to leave my breakfast on the side of the road. Feeling better at that point I decided to keep going, well after another 6 miles or so I threw up again. Last time I did that on the ride. (We got the whole thing on video using the AV500)
I am still glad we went on the ride, I probally should have only gone the first 6 miles and then turned arround, but it was good for me. I went home afterwards and sleep (stayed in bed) the rest of the day. I was feeling fine when I woke up on Sunday. Sadly, Lisa was sick, she stayed in bed all day. I think she was worse than I was on Sat.
I just hate being sick - it makes it where you can't do anything. We were going to go down to Manti for the Temple Pagant there - didn't. On Sunday we were going to go to my In-Laws for a little Father's Day celebration - didn't go to that either.
We are both luckily better now.

Arg! - sometimes things here in AF bother me.

So, I woke up this morning got ready for church and headed to the building. Well guess what, there were only 2 cars in the parking lot. It was Stake Conference today (which explains the meeting yesterday) - our ward is horrible about making annoucements. Since Lisa and I are both in the Primary we rarely know what's going on, and we were out of town last week we didn't know. We called a friend in the ward. Felt stupid. At least Stake Conference wasn't until 2, so we had plenty of time to get there. Went back home and ate some breakfast - watched a movie (The Client).

Well, I am mainly posting this so I can post a pic of us. It's the only way to get a picture on your profile if you don't have a site to upload it to. Here it is:

This is us outside of my In-Laws House. It was taking about 6 months ago.

Tommorrow is almost here!

Life is so busy, I will never understand how fast time goes by, even when a day might seem so slow. Not much has changed for Lisa and Me in the last little while.

We are still looking for a home to buy, but also waiting to pay off our car. My family was in town last weekend. That was fun. We all went to Logan and enjoyed each other company. There was us from Utah, my parents and my sister Helen. It was a great time.

Today was good, went by way to fast. This morning we had this 2 hour primary meeting - the whole stake - any adult in primary was supposed to go. It was about using music more in primary, in sharing time and classes - as well as singing time. It was alright. We were reminded that regular treats for the kids are not supposed to happen. Well, we sin in the department and probally will keep doing so. They said we should not reward are kids for reverence. I figure it's okay then since we pass out the candy at the begining of class regardless if they are reverent or not during class.

Went up to SLC today. They where Lisa's family is. Helpped her parents paint her sister's house - her sister just had a baby and has not been able to do much at her new home (older home, recently bought). So we get together and do stuff to it when we can. It's almost finished. Just a few more coats of pant in the frontroom and little more cleaning in the kitchen. Then the floors can be done and they can move in.

So, with that note I am going to go take a shower and try to get a bunch of paint off of me. It's only a little after 11 and we have church at 9 and I should probally review my lesson for primary tommorrow. So take care for now

Saturday Morning

It's now 7:14 and I am sitting up in bed, laptop on lap writing in my blog. This is a common scene for me in the morning. Being Saturday it's a little different. My wife is sleeping just a few feet away, she would usually already be up and leaving for work right about now if it was a week day.

I love Saturday, they are a little more relaxing, I still do some things for work - Guy Graphics - like email customer their tracking numbers, run a few updates on the site, but I don't have to worry about a single phone call.

Today, I have to weed our front yard, I live in a condo park, but each place is responsible for their own flower bed area. My landlord asked me to take better care of ours. We have weeds that are at least 2 feet plus high in it.

Later, we are taking the Webelos Scouts from our ward to Timp Caves, we have to do a 3 Mile Day hike with the boys so they can get their Arrow of Light. It should be fun neither one of us have done it before.

Well, until next time - keep on keeping on!

Wow, so this is what it's like being a blogger huh? It's kind of wierd, typing so everyone can read what you say. Fun times!
